From a young age Debby fell in love with photography. Kneeling at the feet of her grandmother’s rocking chair on the back porch, she heard stories of her great-great grandparent’s first photography, where the man covered his head and you had to sit still for what seemed hours. But the outcome was worth it. The pictures were made with metal plates and the money saved for these treasures was hard earned. Each one told a special story. Debby still wants people to look at their pictures and feel the story of that day. She thinks photography should be fun, memorable, and beautiful; not intimidating and stiff. Her approach is to blend into what is naturally happening. When you look at her subjects you feel like you know something about them, not just what they look like.
